A few nights back, I was bored and ended up watching a game from the tourney.
a gal named Aliya Zhumambayeva specifically.
She won that game and I found myself watching her next game.
I ended up watching all 9 of 9 games and she finished 8.5/9 gaining 72 FIDE rating, now up to 1360.
I am gobsmacked that a 9 yr old would have the willingness to sit for more than 3 hours per day, for 9 days and play tourney chess.
