Free chess menor etc. false advertising!
As a non-paying member of chess.com, you have access to parts of wider programs that paying members recieve. For example,as a non-paying member you are allowed 3 tactics trainer problems per day were as a diamond member you a re allowed infinite. How can you complain about chess.com advertising its products. Its not a charity website and requires money for the site to run. There is no better chess website than chess.com. Stop complaining and be thankful that they allow you to do so much without paying.
Erik is the owner of the site. To contact him, go to http://support.chess.com/Tickets/Submit
dream101: Erik, is the founder, and I presume owner of chess.com. He normally responds to questions asked ... in my experience here.
I regret posting this I guess you have to go with the flow when it comes to advertising strategies. So I have had my chill pill and am still enjoying playing chess from people all over the globe on this site.
Hooray for sanity!

:)
They may not have paid you, but I would bet four guys in black hoods were discussing the new trends in dismemberment in your living room as you typed this... (probably the hoods were improvised with chess.com shirts, just a guess)
What's not been mentioned in this topic yet is the bit we encounter when reviewing Chess Mentor, about how we can get it with 'premium' membership (which includes Gold, correct? as that's more premium than free membership). However, on exploring membership options, only Diamond, the highest level and a vastly more expensive membership here ($960.00/decade I believe, payable in annual installments), suffices as far as I could readily determine.
There are so many software programs, such as ChessMaster for around $10 (and good for years of fun and education), that it may have proven difficult to sell something like Chess Mentor services here without some embellishment.
Presumably the site owners know what they're doing, and are quite aware of any impact on this site's credibility.
