Fhunfi helps me find slow games here as I can not find them on the other website I go to every night to run tournaments.
Chess as Lifelong passion and be winner in life
Thank you for providing a creative solution for slower games and for your assistance. It means a lot!
Thanks to fhunfi for our session this afternoon! We played a Ruy Lopez game and discussed each move in detail afterwards and I was blown away by how much new stuff I learned. We went into all the intricacies of how different moves work and it was honestly like seeing color after only having black and white vision. Thanks again.
I really enjoy the online games and tournaments organized by Chien. It's difficult to find games and opponents for long time controls, and Chien does great work in organizing and communicating these events. Thank you!
Fhunfi is a very strong player, and he is very instructive. I enjoyed my game with him a lot and learned more from it than from most, if not all, of the other games I have played, despite the large difference in rating!
I am interested in another 90 30 unrated game. I tend to use very little time when I play so i could definitely use the practice.

I've had the pleasure of playing Chien multiple times, and I can only speak highly of him. He's a true gentleman and this quality is mirrored in his approach to chess. I would characterize him as the kind of player who chooses to capitalize on errors through positional play. I strongly recommend getting involved in a game with him for an insightful experience thats reflects both skill and sportsmanship.
I have been lucky to play him twice. He is much higher rated than I am, but by playing him I had to bring out my best play. That is rare as often I shot for draws in virtually every game of mine.
I've had the pleasure to play a 90 minute game with 30 sec increment against Chien. His play is very accurate and our analysis after our game was very helpful to me. Thank you for our game and I hope to play you again in the near future.
This is extremely useful. It is very important to play against stronger opponents, and Chien is willing to analyze the game afterward with you. It was a very rich experience.
I've played in tournaments organised by fhunfi for 18 months or so and have enjoyed every one of them. He's a top bloke, polite, friendly and never too busy to have a chat, either post game or over messages, he just loves the game. I would encourage anyone on the fence about getting involved in his tournaments, to dive in, you won't regret it.
Can only agree with the above, Chien is doing an excellent job as tournament direktor, his love for the classical time control shines through in everything he does. If you like the slower time control this id absoluty the place for you on the internet. Keep up the good work Chien!
Cheers
Tommy
I have recently just worked with Chien, only briefly so far, but looking forwrad to learning more with him in the future. He has been very generous with his time already and his comments on my games have been very useful food for thought. I am excited to team up with him going forward!
After playing a game against Chien, I find this an excellent opportunity for anyone who wishes to play slow chess online.
There are a few that play in fhunfhi's tournaments. You should probably join his club and ask or contact them privately.
Thanks Chien (@fhunfi) for your hard work organizing tournaments in slow time controls. There was a time when it was near impossible to find someone with whom to play classical chess online. I'm very happy you have made it easy for all of us who have joined the 90m+30s club (https://www.chess.com/club/90m-30).
* There is typo of club name that @chavezo typed. The correct address is: https://www.chess.com/club/90m-30s
Thanks for all your compliment and continuous supports - I will return the favor by doing my best, by keeping the constant and consistent interval pace between tournaments - and scheduling between games as humanly as possible (e.g: 2 weeks time frame for finishing one 90m+30s game).
Our key purpose is to practice the rhythm and time management of 90m+30s for preparing our future OTB (Over the Board) tourneys.

@fhunfi does w great job of creating, organizing and running slow classical time tourneys. I like playing those he sets up because there is plenty of time to schedule and play the games.
