The touch sensor issue also happens on the ZMF-II clocks. There seems to be something intentionally making it not register as it happens if you try to touch the clock very slowly. However the clock KNOWS that it's being touched. At least on the ZMF-II, you can verify that by holding your finger on that sensor that you touched slowly (that did not activate), do not remove your finger at all, and then touching the second side. This will cause the first side to switch to that side (as if you pushed the first sensor), Then touch the second side again (without removing your finger from the first), and then the clock will switch sides again. (Yes, this is a bug, and someone reported this issue on this forum awhile back). It won't do that obviously, if your finger wasn't touching the first sensor.

I do not know if that happens on the pro, but that's how I found out on the II that the sensor is aware that it's being pressed.

BTW the Chronos chess clocks will always activate if you touch the sensor, every time.

Given what I know now, I will stick with the button version for any of the ZMF clocks.

Don't only one of the ZMF clocks have a button model? Pretty sure that $119 dual screen clock is sensor only, as well that "I'm blind" giant digit all metal clock.

I know, but I am done with the touch sensor models now.

Tap N Set Pro should have been released with buttons from the start.

I cannot find much on YouTube reviewing this clock. It is the USChess official timer. You can either set it using a phone app or manually. Is it easy to set manually? Quality issues?

Thank you for any Information

Well better late than never, I guess. I decided to remedy the situation of not much being on YouTube about it, by making by own demonstration video. I hope some will find the info useful when making a decision to buy their next chess clock, if they’re considering the official chess clock of the US Chess federation.

A guy at my club has this clock and I had to play on it. It's atrocious.

Multiple times, I pressed the clock and it didn't register the move unless I pressed it even harder. One time I lost 10 minutes because I thought I had activated it.

Was that the touch sensor or push button version? My video is about the touch sensor version.

The touch sensor one. It's like it just didn't like my fingers.

I already knew that the regular plastic "LED lit" zmartfun clocks would not register a press if you tried to press the metal round sensor *very* slowly, although the clock still knew the sensor was being pressed down (long story on how I found that out), but here I was just doing a normal tap I always do on chronos clocks, or even on the LED clocks, and it was repeatedly not activating.

The pushbutton one would have obviously just worked.

It's because of the problem with this clock that I haven't even considered buying the dual screen one, which I thought was rather interesting if you had money to spend (especially since I got both of my chronos clocks fixed from samtimer).

I really like your idea at the end of the video of how the clock could show seconds at all times (the Omcor clock does something similar to what you describe)! This coupled with a few other improvements could make it one of the best clocks on the market.
