Notation

It took a reasonable amount of time to learn Descriptive or Chess notation. This was in the early 1970s. It was a pleasant way to spend time with a small analysis board going through classic Brilliancy games and learning new tactics and strategy,

As everyone knows, Algebraic notation is now the accepted format for books and computers.

The problem is, I'm trying to visualize positions with a kind of hybrid mix of both notations.

It reminded me of learning Latin. People become fluent in a language that is only used in specific circumstances.
