After 1 year on the waiting list (19th oct 2023), I received my package at last.

It is more beautiful than in the pictures. I am very happy.

My chess set is a BCE Stage 1 Eastern set, in maple and walnut, with blue leather pads, stamped Rook and Knight, and extra queens

The Knights are not the improved version.

I chose this version with these options, because I wanted a version with neat lines.

I also wanted a design that was different from the Staunton designs I already own.

I'm not a good chess player, but it's like gourmet restaurants: just because you don't know how to cook doesn't mean you can't appreciate good food.

So nice, congratulations!! The BCE is such a wonderful set and a pleasure to play with. The nature wood will never get old. To this day I strongly feel noj is the best of breed when it comes to chess making.

Gorgeous!

Sleek design. Matches perfect with the board.

Is the board a Drueke?

Thank you, I don't know if noj is the best, but sure it is a good one...

Thank you. It looks like a Drueke (identical design), but actually it is a JLP chessboard with 2'25" squares (made in USA).

It matches NOJ BCE perfectly (in my opinion).
