Columbian set

I had some extra time on my hands today, so I decided to take some pictures of one of my sets. So here it is. It’s a great little set, good weighting.  Sheesham and  Boxwood. Hope you enjoy it.

Nice. This set is somewhat modeled in Chess Ultra.

@wids88, love the Colombian set and the board as well. Interesting flare to the rooks. Appreciate you sharing this with us! Nice!!!

What's not to like in both sets posted,so far?

Love em' both.

Yep - I’ve often looked at that set as something that could join my collection one day. Lovely stuff- thanks for posting the photos. 👍👍

The decoration on those knights and the angled crenelations on the rooks are really nice! But what's also catching my eye are those bishops. The eastern European shape with a miter cut is an unexpected combination (at least it's one I've never seen before), and very cool!

Thanks to everyone for all your kind words.
Every time I pull this set out(I rotate my playing set every week or so) I like it more than the last time.

The Colombian is one of the sets I am using on my Centaur. Both, attractive design and very nice to play with.

@magictwanger, thanks! The board you can see in the back is one of the nicest boards I have and will be featured on the cover of my upcoming book.

Intentionally or not, you showcased a wide collection of chess pieces. And the rook on f8 felt like floating at the first glance.
