feel the same, can't get the pleasure from playing chess, tried to play longer games, just getting worse, because when u take 4 minutes to think about a move, and that move is so bad, that getting me angrier than ever...

I understand you. That is why I am NOT going to say that everyone loses sometimes. I am going to say that - 1. I suck at blitz, never play blitz, and make it worse. When I play blitz I lose almost 90% of all games and of the other 10%, 75% is just lucky wins. Don't play blitz if you don't like it. 2. When I lose a game, I immediatly start thinking of my opponent as an enemy for life, learn what they play, how they play, and play with them until I get revenge. It works. (Also, while you are playing, and made a bad move- just start swearing (not in chat). It also works. Just swear until you feel ok. If you don't know enough swear words, use The Great And Powerful Ones help(google). 3. YOU.     WILL.     LOSE.          A LOT.      4. look at pictures of cute, cuddly little animals (like seriously). Especially cats and dogs.     5. Finally, look up chess memes.   NOTICE- IF THIS DOESN'T HELP, GO TO A PSYCHOTHERAPIST.   I hope this helps a little. happy.png

My screen name is UnstableFool for a reason... I can empathize with sadness, anger, & frustration. When I'm tilted, I take a break to smoke weed, then watch(& rewatch)some short chess videos, esp. Eric Rosen, for fresh ideas and alternative lines. It's a surprisingly effective way to gain more familiarity of different lines as well as the strategies & tactics therein. Good Luck! Puff puff pass, niqqa.

I do agree that it might be helpful to find a good therapist because the issue probably is not just about chess. I also agree with the suggestion to slow down:  play some slower games, play against the computer, do some tutorials and puzzles, relax.

In my humble lay opinion, chess really is more than just your average game. It is a thing of extraordinary elegance and beauty, but also right under the surface, a symbolic world of extreme aggression, excessive competitiveness, and violence. It is very easy to take it "too" seriously. I use the quotes because who's to say how serious is too serious -- that is individual, personal and subjective. In chess, and in many other things in life, it's not always easy to find that sweet spot where you care enough but not too much about the outcome. It looks like right now you care way too much.

Many of us can sympathize. I am fairly new to chess.com and have blown a few games where I was winning, and it's really painful. The first time I lost one such game, a daily game I had  worked hard on for days, I was quite upset. I got over it. I've also gotten smacked around in rapid games and I don't like it one bit. But this is nothing other than the learning process. How can you learn without losing?

And the OP was just on line recently, so we know he somehow pulled through.

I hope you find in life that everything you ever did wrong backfires on you, I hope that you drop a heavy box on your toe and the nail falls off. I hope you see toast crumbs in your butter, the skin on the top layer of your soup after it sits for awhile, and hope that you question what you just posted and sincerely think that if that was a good idea.

Stop doing it. It really is that simple. If you hate it that much, stop doing it. I know you feel you've got all these games to play and its all out there, but JUST, STOP, DOING, IT.
