The FIDE Presidential Board Meeting in Antalya, Turkey, from 26-28 January 2007 decided to have a Global Training Headquarters. To carry out the Board decision, Global Chess Academy (GCA) was set up.
As FIDE Global Training HQ, GCA will focus on chess education through the training, testing and certification of trainers to FIDE`s standards for certified trainers. Thus GCA will help coordinate and conduct seminars, examinations and certification of trainers.
