AlphaZero: Will People Treat Chess the Way they Treat Tic-Tac-Toe?

Humour augmented because of your username.
Easy, we dont have no computer memory, even if one day someone solve the whole combinations to DRAW every game, cause winning every games seems not so possible, even if that happens, after 1 week without practice he will forget half of lines becoming in a mortal player again. Chess between humans will never change that drastic no worries.
No I don't think chess will be like tic-tac-toe, simply because tic-tac-toe was something made for a shortermed game and a game that wasn't supposed to played for hours all based on accuracy or mistake.
Now it is true that tic-tac-toe is something that requires accuracy and no mistakes, however it is to simple. To equate to it, that is like having an endgame with 3 pawns on the same side for chess, just to equate how simple the game of tic-tac-toe is as a whole.
Of course chess won't be as simple as tic-tac-toe, however I do believe it won't be as complex as it was in the Romanticized Era of Chess, but to say chess will be like a game like that is something very peculiar because it will take a lot of simplification(or more specifically, forced lines) for chess to become as simplified as tic-tac-toe.
But regardless both are fun and there is no need to compare, of course chess is more complex, but who doesn't like a simple puzzle or 90% draws in tic-tac-toe? Come on it was a game that eveyone should've played when we were all younger!
But even so I do think this topic is interesting however it is not neccessary as there is no need to compare games, but regardless here is what I thought...

You, sir, are discrediting my life's work.
@tictactoeprodigy
Sorry young sir, this is a misunderstanding, lol...
But in all truthfulness that was the fun of the game, it's simplicity. And though it's simplicity it made us youngins and oldens come back and play more...

ikr, when school was still in person, i remember people were literally playing tic tac toe in class. we invented a bunch of different variants - it was fun

hey that happened in my elementry school too! the good days...
hahaha I dont know how complicated is tic tac toe theory, but I am a "self-proclaimed" grand master of "Five in a row". that is to say a bigger tic tac toe, and it seems simple game at the beggining but believe me, it can be the same complex than chess. There are a world of theory behind those "simple games" indeed

excuse me?! xD
Frankly, the robots might look upon it like that, but the humans however will play on! There's way too many combinations which makes chess to complicated for the human brain to completely wrap around.
Times have changed, Alpha is no longer the best engine and chess will not be solved until we reach an engine with an elo of 10000, which will take IDK how many years probably 100k?
It is interesting to ask what the highest possible rating is. There is such a thing (in theory): it is a player who cannot ever be beaten and wins games against all players who are less perfect. Achieving it could require an impossible amount of computing power, but getting close should be feasible some day.
In principle, even today's chess algorithms are capable of approaching perfection if given sufficient computing power and RAM: their strength is limited by hardware.
This is a 100% true story.
Little brother of a friend, 10 years old.
Me: So you're 10.
Him: Yes.
Me: Are you learning the multiplication table?
Him: Starting to.
Me: What's 9 x 2 ?
Him: We didn't get the nines yet. (verbatim)
That's what happens when you learn things by rote memory.
WHAT he is 10 and doesnt know simple multiplication, i learned/memorized this when i was 4/5 but later i learned how to actually do it without memorizing when i was about 6.
He already learned the two(s).
I asked him, "What's 9 x 2?"
He said, "We didn't get to the nine(s) yet."
lol ikr
