Tip to have game live online and OTB
Is it possible to play a game with a Bot this way? That would solve the issue of them being not saved ( I am assuming that they are saved, though). Playing with Bots is also the only type of the game that I play, so if these games can't be analyzed afterwards, that would be a big disappointment...
I am hoping that maybe I just understood wrong from reading through other people's issues...
I am still waiting for my board to make it all the way to NYC, so for now I am just reading anything that I can find about it.
Might be able to use that method to save a bot game.
But regardless, we are working on a method to auto-save bot games. That will be fixed.
I’m sure it’s just teething troubles and will sort in time but I can’t get chess.com bots working at all at present - they hang on the first move.
Human games are working 100% though (I’m about 30 games in, no issues at all) it would be good to have a pop up for when an opponent bails so you don’t just have to wait out the clock.
Are there plans for having different time controls for OTB play? I like the fact that my kids can have all of the aids turned on, while mine are off. It would also be nice if I could have a blitz time control, while they had as much time as needed.
I’ve updated my firmware, but everytime I try to connect to WiFi it tries to download the firmware again and nothing happens. It doesn’t redownload, the board just resets and I get the bar showing no download progress. Not sure what to do. App says firmware up to date

Please try with the board on the charger. If it is still happening, I will have our firmware engineer assist with the firmware update to recover the unit.
There is a routine to force the firmware update from our app - and that will rescue a mis-download.
Let me know if still not working and I will share those steps.

Yes - we are expanding those options to match chess.com extended quick match options soon.

The bot play method is being overhauled. The official Chess.com interface just released. We had to release it with a temporary method that had issues as black. However, all is resolved with the new API - a couple of weeks out from release to ChessUp 2.

I’ve tried while plugged in. I’ve also tried forcing the download again from the app. When I force it, it will show a successful download again, but the same thing happens when I try to connect to WiFi.

Let me have our tech support reach out to you. Can you message me the order # so we can connect direct?
Got my board today. Absolutely gorgeous. Normally when spending this much money on something I expect it to be heavy to make you think you've really bought something, but I love how light it is. It's glitching against chess.com bots, the first move is played and then the board gives up and won't continue the game, but against the built in AI it's working fine. Gotta get a lot of games in before I can give a recommendation but so far so good.
I have recently received my chess up 2 board and have tried using it for chess.com there are a couple of very disappointing issues:
1. If I'm playing black the display does not invert so it is upside down when looking at the clock in an on-line game.
2. You are penalised time when the other player moves and you place their piece as displayed with the lights.
These two issues make it very poor for real time chess.com games

#2 - this is how every single e-board works. It has always been suggested to play with increment if you use an e-board.
How would you suggest they handle that aspect? I you wait for me to move the piece I just wait to move the piece until I have thought of a response. I have been using e-boards (which all work the same way) for close to 3 years now with 5 different brands/manufacturers and have never flagged.
Has anyone else had the issue when playing as black and the display is upside down so the clock is around the wrong way I’ve tried to find some information on this but can’t find any solution

Any person who spent the $200+ to get the board...surely watched the available videos and demonstrations and would have been aware of that...and you bought it anyway.
Like Rsava said, play with an increment - more appear to be coming!
I've been doing what Martin (I think suggested) putting the board sideways...until I know which side I will play. Heck...one could even set things to 'only play White or Black' I believe.
I still might get a very thin 'lazy Susan' to sit it on...just looks like a cool idea.

I think you posted this earlier, and I meant to reply then - if it wasn't you then this goes for you as well - you should look for one with plastic ball bearings, not metal. No telling how the metal bearings under the board will interfere with the electronics in the board. Pretty sure Chessnut suggested this on Reddit a while back. I found one at WallyMart but they are hard to find.
I've got to say, starting a chess.com game only to have to flip the board is a pain.....think I'm going to get a small form 'lazy susan' to make it easier.
When I was playing around I set the board sideways so I could quickly switch
