I picked up chess in 2019, inspired by the anime character Lelouch from Code Geass. I started playing on various apps until I discovered chess.com and created an account @AvroVanquish. After a few games on that account, I took a break for a while, but when the pandemic hit, chess became a major focus for me. I watched countless YouTube videos to improve my skills, determined to master the game.

Over the years, I played regularly and solved numerous tactics puzzles, gradually increasing my rating to 1500, reaching an intermediate level. However, I eventually hit a plateau, which caused my motivation to wane. As the pandemic subsided and my daily schedule became busier, I found it challenging to continue playing seriously on a regular basis. Now, I play chess casually and occasionally.

 
Talking about chess, my chess personality comes out as a technician, and my favorite part about chess is openings—the different ways to play the game and new ideas, even if they are unsound, always intrigued me. My favorite openings include the Sicilian Defense family. I have always been inspired by Bobby Fischer and Paul Morphy.
