After years (20+ years ago) of learning to play chess in DOS 6.22 with Battle Chess CD-ROM (where the pieces actually engage in battle upon capture), I am finally on-line! I play for fun. Losing to the computer so much teaches you to avoid losing, instead of developing strategies to win (you do not play lots of winning endgames).

I have mated 400, 800, 1200, 1300, and 1600 (Isabel-bot, 72 moves) level bots.  Next up, Li (2000)? Longest win streak for a time control? Thirteen (13) rapid games. Longest general winning streak, twelve (12). Longest draw? 119 moves! Best human win? I beat an 1170  with the Cow opening in 14 moves. Best Rapid (10 minutes) ELO? About 690. Recently, a 1308 fell to me in three minute blitz.

In order to practice winning endgames, I have started playing real people recently. I came in 1st (#1) in divisions of the Wood, Stone, Bronze, Silver, Crystal, Elite, Champion, and Legends leagues. Leagues are very time consuming.

I no longer play for results of one game. I play cohorts of ten (10) games and keep track of wins and losses on my white board. Knowing how many game I intend to play before I start  helps.

My rating does not define me. When I am rested with a clear mind, a game against me will be a battle. I just like to play, and I am not looking to get a high rating. If you win, congratulations! Sportsmanship always.
