Café de la Poste

Chess in Beijing started out in the bar Cafe de la Poste, where a group of players began gathering spontaneously, often ending up in intense combat until the early morning hours. As more players began showing up, we started to play regularly at the cafe, located in the Beixinqiao/Lama Temple neighborhood. We’ve been meeting regularly on Saturday afternoon. Amateurs and grandmasters are all welcome. Occasionally we organize tournaments, which we invite all Beijing chess players to join.
