My name is Erin Emily Wheeler. I’m a hip hop artist, (rapper and producer) and go by the artist name ERINEM. I relocated back to my hometown of Tyler Texas, after living in NYC for 5 years pursing my MFA in creative writing and poetry.

After getting my masters and realizing I didn’t like writing as much as I specifically liked rhyming, I moved back home to pursue music full time.

That was six years ago, and now I’m in talks with a major record label, and it’s looking good right now. I’m hoping to ink a deal this  November (2020). 

I grew up playing chess with my dad, who has always respected chess as the height of intellectual practices. Since I was a baby I was playing, but only seriously got into it again this year.

I use my chess clock everyday to manage my time as I complete various tasks related to my work, and it has helped me be productive in a non-structured work environment.

Seeing that clock everyday made me want to play again, so I’ve joined chess.com again and now practice and play everyday. I’m getting better.

Unfortunately, playing with only my dad all those years growing up only taught me how to play well with him. I’m about average as a player with anyone else.

So I’m looking to grow my skill set. But, I still play chess with my dad, both of us have open games together here on chess.com 😏
