Background
As a kid, over 30 years ago, I learned how to play chess. My tactical skills were decent, for an eight year old, but I knew very little about strategy and I played the Italian Opening in 100% of my games. Fun times. I didn't play much in the decades after that. Even in the years I was more active, I played no more than a dozen casual games per year.
I’ve always considered myself to be perfectly placed on the dividing line between casual and active players. Roughly speaking I could beat any casual player I’ve met, but I lost almost every game I played against active (club) chess players.
It was the Netflix show the Queen's Gambit that brought me back into the game. I really enjoy playing chess again and working on my game. It's astonishing how much progress there has been in the world of chess. I appreciate all the digital content that's available and I absolutely love all the fancy engine stuff.

Game Libraries
Currently, I'm still working on reorganizing my game libraries. Some of them are up-to-date, while others are still a work in progress.
