In 2015, I worked with the super-GM Ivan Cheparinov-(2710) as his second for the WorldChessCup-Baku.

Since my graduation, I have been actively involved with both competitive chess and chess coaching. I have over 10 years of first-hand coaching experience, producing excellent players including the 2012 European Youth Chess Champion U8, IM Tsvetan Stoyanov, helped to WGM Nurgyul Salimova during the World Chess Championship under-12 (Porto Carras/Greece 2015) where she won the GOLD medal, Niya Malcheva-National champion under 8 and top 10 in Europe (Antalya 2022),FM Valentin Mitev-who became Bulgarian National champion under 14 for 2017, Aiden Zhou, Canada-who shared 6th-12th place in the WYCC in Brazil 2017, the winner of many strong tournaments, IM Plamen Mladenov (2376), and his older brother, NM Ilian Mladenov (2235) among many other distinguished players.

I have taught both very young kids and many adults with great success and helped them realize their full potential on the chess board. My coaching method has been developed and tested for many years and strikes the balance between my chess skills and knowledge as Grandmaster and my teaching expertise gained during my college years working toward my Chess Pedagogy degree.
