GAMES: Kasparov lost in Pyrenees Gambit
He resign (Kasparov) because he can't do any progress or better moves to beat the black. At the last move 37...f4, white has unclear position, and black has a possible checkmate in few moves.
38...Rh4, 39...Rxh2#
38...f3, 39...g2, 40...Qxh2#
38...f3, 39 Qxf3 Rg1+, 40 Rxg1 Qxf3+, 41 Rg2 Qxg2#
The thing is more likely that Garry can't put his queen where it can defend the best spot for the queen right now is f3, but it losses big time 38.Qf3 Rg1+ and it looses the queen, as the queen has to walk away he will fast get into troubles.
As black has serious treats with 38...Rh4 and white is practically dead.
