Hey gang,

Here we are, with the NS Sports Chess Ladder.

The rules are as follows:

* Each player can only play one game at a time.

* You can challenge the person one place ahead of you or two places ahead of you.

* If you receive a challenge from someone below you, you *have* to accept it, unless you're already playing a game.

* If the challenged player does not accept the challenge within seven days, the challenger is declared winner by default.

* Matches are only officlal 'ladder' matches if the challenging player makes a post in this thread saying 'game started with X player'

* You cannot challenge someone who is already playing a ladder game with someone else. A list of who is currently playing a game will be kept updated in the OP of this thread.

* When the match finishes, the winner enters the score (ie 1-0, 0-1 or 0.5-0.5) in this thread. For example: Lemur84 0-1 Matiastv

* When challenging a player, the 'I play as white' or 'I play as black' option must be set to 'random'.

* The challenging player may elect to play a game of Chess960 instead of traditional chess if he/she so chooses.

* Games should be online games with a three-day-per-move limit, unless both players agree to slower/faster time controls.

* I'll keep the table updated. IE swap people when someone lower on the ladder beats someone higher, put an asterisk next to someone's name when they're playing a game etc.
