I would have made this more scary, but it had to be kid appropriate. I will be changing all the font colors and stuff later, when i have the time.

It Happened Halloween Night by Christiana Stella Noon.
It's the week of Halloween. A night celebrated by lots of kids(and some adults) in the USA(and other countries too). Where people dress up, and ask for candy(AKA beg for it). This night falls on the last day of October, the thirty-first. And in our story, it falls on a Friday. Little Timmy (who is eight years old, and in fourth grade)is making sure his costume is ready for Friday night(which is in five days). He goes downstairs, to ask his mom if he could wear his black and white checkered sneakers with his costume. She said he could, so he ran upstairs to find them. He found them in his closet that he shared with his older brother(he has an older brother, a sister that is older than the older brother, and a three year old brother). Now to Little Timmy, this year was important to him in two ways(one of which he did not know at the time). Now since Little Timmy doesn't know that we are watching him, and that we can see everything he thinks, it doesn't matter if I tell you what what they are or not. But for the sake of the story, I am going to tell you the two reasons. But you can't tell him that I told you, or tell him anything I said! So if you take the vow or Readers Silence And Not To Tattle( also known as R.S.A.N.T.T., or the vow of our saint) So for Little Timmy, Halloween was a special night. Because he had finally made his own costume, and he hadn't shown it to anyone. And because he was going to learn to play a game(he doesn't know this yet). After he came home from school on Wednesday, his older brother Max asked Timmy if he wanted to go trick-or treating with him and his friends, instead of with their mom and little brother. Now this made Little Timmy pause. He thought: hmmm... why is he being so nice to me? Could Mom have put him up to this? And will they stop calling Little Timmy, and just call me Timmy if I go with them? Then he also thought: Max would probably take it back, or prank me if I say yes right now. But I also don't want to regret saying no. Hmmmmm..... . So he said to Max, " I am not sure, could you wait until tomorrow?" At this Max is surprised. So we see what he's thinking: that he should tease Timmy about being so mature, but then he figures that Timmy would say no to him and go with his mom. And then that would be a better time to tease. So he says, " Sure, just make sure you tell me by tomorrow." At this, Max heads to the kitchen, and Little Timmy heads to his room. *Note*: The only reason that we can see Max's thoughts is for me to make a point. Was this truly nice of Max? The answer: No. It was nice for Max to invite a sibling to come with him, but not if he was going to tease them about it. Do you get my point? If not, come talk to me over a pm. So Timmy went up to his shared room. He made sure his costume was still hidden. And then he sat down at the desk. He started on his homework, then he was called down for dinner.After dinner, he went back upstairs to his room. Max was already at the desk in there, but he got up and went to the schoolroom to do his homework. Now the schoolroom in their house was just a smaller room with school supplies, and two school desks. The desks were for anyone in the family to use if somebody else was already using the desk in their bedroom. After Timmy finished his homework, he went downstairs to talk to his mom. She said that she thought it was fine if he went with Max, but Timmy would have to be careful, and listen to Max. She also said that she and Timmy's father would have to have a talk with Max, just in case. So Thursday afternoon, Timmy told Max that he was going with him. And then all of the sudden, it was Friday afternoon after school. And then, it was just after dinner. Timmy has already gone up upstairs to change into his costume. When Timmy came downstairs, everyone gasped. Now the reason everyone gasped, wasn't because they were surprised, it was just that Timmy's dad had said, " A knight?" Timmy just nodded. Timmy had seen his dad play an occasional game of chess, and he liked the game, he just didn't understand it. All of this would change soon. So Little Timmy headed out with Max and his friends. They had gone around to about twenty houses when it started to lightly sprinkle. They kept on going, and it let up soon after it started. Soon after it let out, they were at Mrs. Maxwell's house. The other boys pushed Timmy up to the front, to knock. It took Mrs. Maxwell a minute to get to the door. Because she was she was in the other side of the house when she heard the knock. She said, " Why, hello Timmy. What are you supposed to be?" Timmy explained, and then she asked if he wanted some candy, he did, so she gave him some. Then she asked, " Timmy are you out by yourself?" Timmy said, " No, I am out with my brother and some of his friends." The Mrs. Maxwell said, " Well, they aren't here now. Why don't you just come inside with me, and I will call your parents." So Timmy did just that. Then Mrs. Maxwell came back and said, " I couldn't reach your parents, so I just left a message. I guess you can stay here until they come can pick you up. No point in letting you wonder off all by yourself, and get yourself lost," she paused " do you know how to play chess?" Timmy said, " No, but I would like to learn." So she brought him to a table, and went and got a chessboard. And then she tought Timmy how to play. And then they started playing some games. And this is where Timmy's Mom found them when she came to pick Timmy up at eight o'clock pm. THE END.
