This is a club for an international league in the works.

This will be an online event, with plans for an in-person venue in the future for a series of different games with both teams and individual players competing in various competitions. Regardless it will be livestreamed on Twitch and/or YouTube.

The main event will feature 3 games, where the first games will be chess, poker and Warcraft 3 between at least six players.

In each league, players will compete in a round-robin of chess where they play each other twice each (once as black, and once as white), gaining 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 for a loss. The time controls are yet to be decided but will be between 10-90 minutes, most likely Rapid (especially if there are many players), but possibly standard/classic in certain divisions and circumstances TBA.

Each league or division will also have a knockout game of No-Limit Texas Hold'Em (or Greek Hold'Em) poker offering a total pool of 50 points, where 1st place receives 20 points, 2nd place receives 15 points, 3rd place receives 9 points, 4th place receives 5 points, 5th place receives 1 point and last place receives 0 points.

A round-robin of a game such as WC3 will be played where players can pick their own race, and will receive 7 points points for a win and 0 for a loss.

#Summary#

===

Rounds for chess: 6 players playing each player twice = 72 matches.

Poker: One knockout game starting with 100,000 credits in chips

Warcraft 3: 6 players playing each other once = 36 matches.

=

Points for chess: 3 points win, 1 point draw. Up to 30 points per player

Points for poker: Up to 20 points per player, according to elimination standings. (20>15>9>5>1>0)

Points for WC3: Up to 35 points per player, wins only.

===

The system for points is still being worked out, this is a rough draft. Alternate systems including single/double-elimination brackets and league structures are being considered.

#Games#

Future games will typically contain at least 1 board-game element and at least 1 video game element. Poker may be replaced by any alternatives that fit the above two conditions and when played will be either a No-Limit or high limit Texas Hold'Em or Greek Hold'Em.

The board game element will usually be satisfied with chess, but can also result in an additional game of (or replaced in some cases, but very likely not) any strategy game whether in the style of an RPG or Go, if an additional game then the poker element will be replaced but in most cases Chess will be the only part.

The video game element may change but will usually be satisfied with an RTS such as Warcraft III (v1.29 or Reforged), Starcraft II, C&C: Red Alert 2, Age of Empires II: DE and so on. Occasionally this may be replaced with another genre, but ideally this would be an additional game to replace the poker slot.

In conclusion, tournaments/leagues will typically play out with these types of games:

Board game (Chess) + Poker + Video Game (WC3)

Board Game 1 (Chess) + Board Game 2 + Video Game (WC3)

Board Game 1 (Chess) + Video Game 1 (WC3) + Video Game 2

#Location#

Games will be held online, if in person in the future it will start in Melbourne, Australia (CBD or North/West) before exploring other locations.

#Other Variants/Final Series Variants#

If there are multiple divisions the finals will be be a tournament-style finals series (or more likely a double-elimination tournament) where the top seed fights the lowest seed for 2 games of chess, 1 game of WC3 and one poker tournament each knockout stage that where final standings at each stage determine the points difference to advance to the next (rules here in progress). If at least two players who are about to tie-break here by coming back from a loss, a "losers game" is played with all the players facing elimination before the quarter finals for a final spot, however this is only relevant in a specific variant tournament series where there are dozens of plays or teams.

In a purely team-based tournament, teams are made up of multiple players, 2 players will be active and they can substitute once only for the duration of the tournament or for only one game. This is roughly the same style however WC3 will be 2v2 games and poker tables will be split to allow one player in each.
