Welcome to the Ardee Chess Club Facebook page.
We are aiming to get the people of Ardee playing chess with a very casual and recreational approach for the first few months of 2021 (COVID-19 restrictions pending) in the DeeHub on a weekday evening to be confirmed.
We are aiming to give some brief 15-20 minute presentations on tips to any attendees on the rules of chess, openings etc.
If the numbers are consistent and there is an improving standard of play amongst the participants then forming an actual Irish Chess Union affiliated club and having members representing the club at tournaments etc. could then be considered.
