A Crown of Iron
A Throne of Rust

Still waiting.

So since my wait has become unexpectedly long, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to re write my bio

The name is Icey. I'm a big nerdy kid. I like Pokémon, Halo, writing, drawing, playing music, snapdragons, foxes, and axolotls. Axolotls are my favorite animal ever, do not mention them in my presence if you want to spare yourself the spam. I'm a big time writer and I am currently writing 3 different stories. If you're interested, one of them is Pokémon, another is Superheroes, and the last one and my best one so far is a fantasy story for my OCs.

My dms are open, I guess, but I don't promise consistent activity. Especially if my friend comes back, which is the only reason I'm still active on chess.com.

My favorite song right now is:

Short story preview by me:

Ironclads - Clockwork
It was a time of chaos in the land of the old, ununified Lakal. Several Aristocracies went rampant with corruption and power. Among them, the only light in the dark, was the Claw Clan: a family of truly noble people who sought to make a a fair society. But their old king, Garrett Claw, refused to stat an open war with the other groups. From a city called the Iron Kingdom, there was little they could do alone.

When Garrett Claw became ill, his son, Zanick Claw, and his wife, Aldea, became the new rulers of the Claw clan. Zanick Claw, despite his ambition, did not act on the problem of the savage outlands. He ruled fairly over his people and never, for the safety of his people, allowed them to leave the borders of the Iron Kingdom. And although measures were taken to enforce that decree, some had found ways to sneak out, and among those people was Zanick Claw's son, the young and defiant prince Crono Claw.

One day, however, Crono sneaked out, not knowing that his mother, Aldea, was close behind him. Crono followed his usual routine of walking as far out into the outlands as he could before the sun began to set, investigating and taking anything interesting as a souvenir, and then the young prince found his path intercepted by bandits. That's when Aldea revealed herself and used her magical skills to fight the bandits off, but when one of their crossbows took aim at her son, she leapt in to shield him.

The arrowhead imbedded itself in the old queen with a noble heart. Crono watched as the magical ruby amulet fell to the ground and snatched it up, and the gem reacted to his anger and despair with its soul power, causing a power surge that obliterated the bandits. Crono returned home, his mother in his arms, and a heart filled with shame, anger and regret. But no one was more broken than Zanick Claw by this series of events.

And so, despite the odds, the Iron King declared war on the outlands of Lakal. That marked the beginning of a very short, bloody revolution that quickly spread to the nearby states of Graywall and Draxia, other cities in Lakal. Later, to Floxor and Ocagich as well, after an epic battle between the Claw Clan and the Rinu clan, ending in a victory for the Iron Kingdom.

But one clan, the Nova clan of Glasslake, did not go down so easily. The Nova clan was, at the time, the most powerful clan in all of Lakal. It owned all of Glasslake, the largest state in Lakal, and one that covered the most of the lake Draxia's shore, thus controlling a high amount of Lakal's water supply. They often used their control to cause droughts in other regions by building dams.

All in all, they weren't an easy foe to fell, even for the entirety of Lakal now united under the Iron Crown. Even after months of operations and attacks, the Iron Kingdom was unable to force the surrender of the Nova Clan. After a month of useless fighting, the Iron Armies were exhausted and almost unable to continue, especially after a drought caused by the Nova Clan. Lord Zanick took this as an opportunity to show his love for his people and gave to them the emergency reserves of food and water stockpiled by the Claw clan, and years later, on that same day, the same would happen, and this became an Iron Kingdom holiday known as the Day of Harmonious Rejoice.

Support broadened for the Iron Kingdom, but still the Nova Clan was not giving up. however, at this point, all it would take is one last finishing blow to break their resolve. The royal military advisors provided 3 possible options: One, a special infiltration operation to unify the dissenters of Glasslake against the Nova clan for an insurrection. Two, an all-out, brute force assault on all fronts.

But it was the third option that was truly the interesting one, and one that would bring forth decades of slaughter to not just the outlands of Lakal, but the entire land of Dracoterrum as a whole. This is where we meet a certain mechanist, Benedict Amalak, and his wife, Martha Amalak, who was pregnant with their unborn son. A promise of a life that never came to him.

The mechanist was a good man in the eyes of many. Hailing from Ocagich, he was known for using his inventions for the good of the people around him. He built water mills, steam engines, and even toys for children. He was also nicknamed the Clockworker for his house, the tall beautiful Clock Tower in which he lived. While he never saw his inventions as dangerous, the Claw clan saw him and his talents as an opportunity.

They wanted him to build war machines for the Iron Kingdom as expendable soldiers who never tire, never stop until the mission has been accomplished. It was an abhorrent idea to the Clockworker, but his wife, Martha, thought that this was the way for him to use his talents for a greater good. Benedict was finally convinced to do it when the Nova clan sent agents one night to intimidate him by breaking into his tower and taking some of his machines and smashing others.

So Benedict, the Clockworker, set to creating his machines. He drew inspiration from monsters like the Gryphons, the Mighty Tortoises, the Bramble Stags, the Dazzle Tails and Astral Wolves; the most powerful mortal beings in Dracoterrum. He made a factory fully automated and used magic to bring them to life, and before he knew it, he had an entire army of prototype killing machines.

While the Clockworker prepared for war, the first option, the special infiltration operation began, with the recently broken and vengeful prince Crono Claw leading its way through the heart of Glasslake, meeting with Nashi Amalak, a young girl abandoned by her parents in the dystopia that was Glasslake. Their job was not just to unite the rebellion, but also to find a lost artifact rumored to be in possession of the Nova clan and recover it. The artifact was called the Eye of Arginoth, and it was supposedly a direct link to the guardian spirit of the Claw clan.

And of course, the most obvious option, the Ironclads, the most powerful warriors of the Iron Kingdom, began to rally around the borders of Glasslake. On the South and East were the Iron Armies and on the Northwest was the Clockworker's Machines, while the infiltrators ate at the foundation from the inside and found the Eye of Arginoth. But when they did, they were found by security and attacked, leaving Crono Claw too wounded to fight. In an act of desperation, Nashi took hold of the artifact, and it reacted to her grief and fused with her, turning her right eye into a "spirit eye", and thus giving her the strength to defeat the enemies before her.

Elsewhere, the Clockworker showcased his magic war machines to the Claw Clan. During the showcase, they placed one of the Ironclads in a head on battle against a machine designed after a Dazzle Tail, a deadly predatory salamander from the land of Dartan. The Machine was given all the same properties as a real Dazzle Tail, and more. It easily defeated the seasoned warrior, forcing him into a defensive position with its fire breath and then knocking him off his feet with its massive tail.

The Claw Clan was most impressed by this point, but it didn't stop there.
