Register For The First-Ever India College Chess Championship Featuring A ₹15,00,000 Prize Fund!

Chess.com India is excited to announce our newest league exclusive to the Indian audience, the India College Chess Championship! Starting on August 22, all our members attending college in India are invited to participate in the event, with ₹15,00,000 and premium membership prizes on the line.

India College Chess Championship 2024 prizes

If you're a college student who loves chess and would like to represent your college, click the button below and register to play! The registration deadline has been extended, and they now close on August 16, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. IST, so make sure you don't miss the deadline.

To register, you must complete the following steps:

Team Captains

  1. Register your team on LeagueSpot.
    • If you need help registering, check out this instructional video.
    • If your school is not on the LeagueSpot platform, you must make a request to get it added either by emailing Joe Navarro at [email protected] or by asking an admin on the CCL Discord server. Please only do this if you are over the age of 18 and are the representative of your college chess team. 
  2. Fill out Chess.com's registration form
  3. Optional: You have the ability to submit your resume (and your players' resumes) to CCL's presenting sponsor, Susquehanna, for internships and post-grad employment opportunities.

All Other Players

Once your team captain has registered your team, follow the steps below:

  1. Register on LeagueSpot and join your team.
  2. Sign the fair play agreement
  3. Optional: Susquehanna's recruitment season is here. Drop your resume HERE to be considered for internships and post-grad employment opportunities.

Note that each team must have at least four players, with the possibility of adding up to four additional team members as substitutes.

The India College Chess Championship follows the success of the Collegiate Chess League, the premier online chess competition for college students worldwide. The tournament will feature four vs. four, all-play-all team matches in the 5+2 time control. Players of all skill levels are welcome and will be sorted into different divisions according to their ratings.

Every team must have a team captain, who must register their team before other players can sign up for the event. Each team must have at least four players, with the possibility of adding up to four other players as substitutes.
