CM Krishna Thapa At Asian Amateur 2022
Having won the Gold Medal in Madan Bhandari Memorial Asian Amateur Chess Championship 2019, CM Krishna Thapa(Nepal) looked to replicate his performance in this years Asian Amateurs. He finished in 12th place (based on tiebreaks) where total 146 participants took part from 20 different countries.

Zahmati Sobhan from Ireland won the event with 8/9 points. CM Krishna Thapa had stable start to the tournament with 4 wins and a draw after 5 rounds.

Two losses in Round 6 and 8 and two victories in round 7 and 9 meant that he finished 12th (based on tiebreaks).
