BREAKING NEWS: Chess Streamer Blunders Checkmate in 1 After Playing Fortnite

Horrible news struck the world's chess capital St. Louis when a local chess streamer blundered checkmate in one move in a completely winning position, after playing Fortnite for 4 hours.

She didn't take the free rook!

According to reports Naycir's opponent blundered a full rook on c3 and she only thought it was her rook that was able to be captured. As she found a relief that she can recapture the rook with her pawn on the next turn, she completely ignored the possibility that the game eventually would end in a basic back rank checkmate.

Experts confirm that the situation is really bad...

We contacted one of the witnesses of this horrible tragedy. A former World Junior Chess Champion, author of two volumes of Unconventional Approaches to Modern Chess,  GM Alexander Ipatov explained the severity of this incident from an expert point of view. What makes this situation worse is the possibility that she will keep on blundering.

Major chess websites deny the game

Major chess websites across the globe also declared that the game in question has not been played on their platform.
