Mission Impossible: The Final Reconing Official Trailer Reaction

I'm afraid we're in the endgame, M:I fans.

Mission: Impossible has been around since 1988 and was made into a blockbuster film in 1996. The franchise continued on for 28 more years until we finally got the first trailer for M:I 8- The Final Reckoning. ( AKA Dead Reckoning Part Two but... whatever... )

I cannot even BEGIN to explain how excited I am for this movie to hit theaters in May. I know that sounds pretty far about but honestly, I'm just happy it's in the time span of this/next year. Due to the strike, I was expecting it to be something insane like July of 2026.

ANYWAYS, this trailer was EVERYTHING I dreamed of it being:

• The new entity mask 😭
• The director of the CIA 😭
• THE KNIFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 😭
• THE RUNNNNNNNNNN 😭
• THE STUNTSSSSSSSSSSS 😭
• ETHAN RIZZING UP EVERY SINGLE GIRL IN THE M:I FILM SERIES EVEN THOUGH HE'S 62 YEARS OLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD 😭

BUT, there was one thing I LITERALLY PREDICTED RIGHT AFTER WATCHING DEAD RECKONING FOR THE FIRST TIME:

Benji and Luther are about to be killed off... and I'm already crying...

This is just a TEASER trailer and we hear Luther say "I have no regrets... and neither should you......" 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I believe that Benji, Luther, Grace, and maybe even Ethan himself will die in this movie... it pains me to say it, but we have way too much evidence:

There was one thing I didn't understand: is Paris... back??? If you didn't know, Paris was Gabriel's assistant in Dead Reckoning... until she literally DIED. But, NOW, she's BACK and on Ethan's side. Thoughts??? COMMENT BELOW! How is this possible?

Also, who are these snow explorers? In the trailer we see them find the 2 parts of the key that unlocks the entity... HUH? Doesn't Ilsa steal the first half of the key at the beginning of Dead Reckoning and Alanna has the other? WHERE DID THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?!?

The final thing I wanted to discuss was if this really IS "The Final Reckoning" for Mission Impossible. About a year ago, Christopher McQuarrie, the director of M:I 5-8 said:

"Mission: Impossible will end when the audience is no longer entertained.”

...well, that doesn't really give us a whole lot about M:I's future, but... it does give us some hope... I guess.
