Kazakhstan Chess Cup 2023. Rounds 3-4-5
Hi everyone! 😊
I've been a little absent from the blog because I had two very busy days. On April 25th, the 3rd round of the Kazakhstan Chess Cup 2023 took place, after which I was invited to the closing ceremony of the Shatty Zhuldyz Chess Festival. Perhaps I'll try to write a separate blog post about this event. It was an amazing chess tournament organized on a very high level, with chess stars from around the world participating.
As for my tournament, unfortunately, in rounds 3-4-5, I only scored one point. Yesterday was a very unlucky day for me. We played two games. In the 4th round (morning round), I played against an international master, and in the evening 5th round, my opponent was a young chess player. So far, all of my opponents in this tournament are chess players from Kazakhstan. I wonder if I'll get to play against someone from another country?! 😊
Round 3
Today, we play at 3 pm local time (11 am CEST). My opponent will be the chess player from Kazakhstan, Tuzelbek, Daulet (ELO 1441).

Round 6 Pairings on Chess-Results
Since we had two rounds yesterday with a break in between, I decided to take advantage of the moment and visit the St. Regis Astana hotel, which is located near our playing hall and where the FIDE World Chess Championship Match 2023 is taking place. It was very interesting! It's a pity that time was limited, and I couldn't stay there longer. I managed to get into the commentator's room where the live broadcast was just starting, hosted by Irina Krush and Daniil Dubov. I was fortunate to meet some friends of mine who are involved in organizing this event. There were really many positive impressions! I hope that I will be able to visit there at least once more (the match is coming to an end, as well as the tournament in which I myself am participating).
Thank you very much for reading!
