My favorite players in order are:1. Paul Morphy2. Emanuel Lasker3. Akiba Rubinstein4. Karl Schlechter5. Lenoid Stein. Others I might like to add are in no particular order: Miguel Najdorf, Paul Keres, Mikhail Botvinnik, Irving Chernev, Johannes Zukertort, David Janowski, Sammy Reshevsky, Savielly Tartakower, and Szymon Winawer. Yes, I liked Fischer, and quite a few others but these are my favorites because they were not only good chess players. They were also gentlemen in and outside the game.
