Returned to club chess in 2016 after a 30 year break,it’s quite strange why this occurred, possibly chess never really left me as I always maintained some interest,playing at the social club, following coverage of the world championship matches and wondering if Bobby Fischer would someday return. Unfortunately the later would never happen and was saddened to hear of his death in 2008. My heros are all from way back. Capablanca,Tall,Fischer,Bronstein,players from an age without computers. A chess game for me is like one big question with many possible answers, keeping focus on the relevant, easy to say but hard to sustain.My goal is to improve, playing purposeful games,hopefully winning more than I lose,on the way I will try to maintain a  sense of humour it might help, just, to keep me sane.
