Greetings from Tampa, Florida. USA !! I use databases, opening books and the analysis board in turn-based (correspondence; days per move) chess and encourage you to do the same. If for any reason you do not want to use a database in our current game, please tell me so and I will not; assuming you agree not to use one either. In thematic tournaments I will always use opening books and / or databases though, because their whole point is to study that opening. I have no problem with slow play. Please feel free to play at a pace that is comfortable to you. I will occasionally use conditional moves, but do not let that pressure you to move faster than you normally would ...
