Titled Tuesday: Weekly Blitz With $2,500 Prize Fund
NEW: Beginning June 2, Titled Tuesday will be part of the Speed Chess Championship Grand Prix as a direct path to qualify for the 2020 Speed Chess Championship. Titled Tuesdays will have a $50,000 prize fund spanning 20 weeks and will take place every Tuesday from June 2 through October 13.
As an enhancement to the existing Titled Tuesday format, the 10-round Swiss tournament will now be followed by an eight-player bracket to award bonus points and $2,500 in cash prizes available every week.

Titled Tuesday is an online chess tournament for all titled players that takes place on Tuesday of every week. The goal of this tournament is to allow titled players to compete for cash prizes and also give chess fans the opportunity to watch and learn from the best players of the world. In 2020, Titled Tuesday will be expanded to two tournaments every month to accommodate players around the world. These events will take place on the same day, starting at 10 a.m. Pacific / 1 p.m. Eastern / 19:00 CET / 20:00 Moscow.
Here's all the information you need to know about the new Titled Tuesday.
1) Tournament Schedule and Format
Titled Tuesday will now run every Tuesday throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament format is a 10-round Swiss with a time control of three minutes plus a one-second increment.
The tournament start times for 2020 will be at 10 a.m. Pacific / 1 p.m. Eastern / 19:00 CET / 20:00 Moscow. and will be broadcast on Chess.com/TV and Twitch.tv/chess with a prominent titled player hosting the broadcast. Players can play in both tournaments.

2) Prizes
Titled Tuesday has experienced massive growth, and for good reason. There’s plenty of financial incentive to join, hence the very competitive field. The 2020 season's monthly prize fund has increased to $6,400.
Each tournament features a $1,600 prize pool. With the increased prize fund, Chess.com is proud to offer its first-ever Titled Tuesday prize for female players. In keeping with tradition, the Best Stream prize will be awarded as 20 gifted subs to the streamer's channel.

With Titled Tuesday scheduled for every week, $1,600 is up for grabs every event. Players can play and win in both events every Tuesday.
Please note, all players on the same tournament score will share the appropriate prizes. No tiebreaks will be used.

4) Real Names and Fair Play
Titled Tuesday's expansion means that all competitors in this event are required to have their full legal name in their Chess.com profile. Anonymous titled player accounts or accounts found to be using a fake name will not be eligible to win prizes during the event.
FAIR PLAY BREAK: The tournament will be paused for 5 minutes after round 7 to allow players a small break and additional time for our Fair Play team to evaluate performances before the "money rounds".
All players are to abide by all rules and site policies found at Chess.com/agreement and cooperate fully with Chess.com's fair play detection team. Participants should be prepared to join a ZOOM call for proctoring at the arbiter's discretion.
