Pete's Pathetic Chess: The Unbelievable Castle

Unfortunately for readers looking for lucid chess instruction, it's time for another episode of Pete's Pathetic Chess, where I subject my awful moves and chess ideas to analysis by a brilliant grandmaster and the best chess-playing computer in the world.

Joining my foolishness with his own (worthwhile) annotations will be GM Alex Yermolinsky, the venerable Chess.com/TV host and old-school grandmaster.

Also weighing in with made-up comments is a fictional personification of the real Stockfish 8, upgraded from its previous version 7—although running my moves through the poor engine might cause it to downgrade itself to a pre-1.0 state in a futile attempt to gloss over my atrocious chess play with past silicon memories.

Stockfish 8 is currently the highest-rated chess engine in history, boasting a 3389 rating on the latest CCRL pure list and providing more than enough firepower to analyze my errors.

Due to member request, all annotations from GM Yermo, Pete, and Stockfish 8 will appear in the same game viewer for ease of review.
The game
:

A Chess.com simul given by IM Aman Hambleton, playing as the 1200-rated Chessbrah account for his live stream. Time control was 60 minutes plus 10 seconds per move, which did not seem to improve my play.

Let us know what you think of my pathetic chess in the comments below and on Facebook.
