Chess Played Quick Bullet Edition 2022: All The Information

Chess Played Quick is Chess.com's series of events where top chess streamers do speedruns and complete bounties for prizes.

The 2022 Chess Played Quick Bullet Edition starts on July 21 at 10 a.m. PT/19:00 CEST. The event features top streamers doing a bullet speedrun to reach the highest rating possible and complete multiple bounties for two and a half hours. The event counts with a $10,000 prize fund, split between two sections based on players' ratings.


Format

  • Players are divided into two sections (Upper and Lower) according to their peak Chess.com bullet rating (continued below).
  • Players do a 1+0 bullet speed run lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Players cannot accept rematches or direct challenges during the speedrun or adjust seeking ranges.
  • Players create a new account to play in the event.
  • During the speedrun, players try to reach the highest bullet rating possible and complete different bounties.

Sections

The 2022 Chess Played Quick Bullet Edition features two sections according to players' peak bullet ratings. The registered participants' median rating determines the section limit; players with a peak rating higher or equal to the median rating of all participants play in the "Upper" section, while players below that play in the "Lower" section. 

Prizes

The event's prize fund is $10,000, with $5,000 going to the top-three players by bullet rating in each section:

  • 1st: $1,200 (x2)
  • 2nd: $750 (x2)
  • 3rd: $500 (x2)

Bounties

The remaining $5,000 go to players who complete the following bounties in each section:

  • Longest Winning Streak: $500 (x2)
  • Least amount of blunders: $500 (x2)
  • Highest Accuracy (min 50 games): $500 (x2)
  • Win the most games without castling: $500 (x2)
  • Highest percentage of mate in 1s found (min 50 games): $500 (x2)

Winners are determined by the parameters on Chess.com's Insights tool.

Schedule

The event starts on July 21 at 10 a.m. PT/19:00 CEST and lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Rules And Signup

  • Players will be separated into two different sections (Upper and Lower) according to their main account's peak Chess.com bullet rating.
  • Every player will start with a 1000 bullet rating.
  • Accepting direct challenges from other players is not allowed during the speedrun.
  • Players cannot change seeking parameters during the speedrun.
  • There can only be one player participating per stream.
  • Players must sign up using the event's official form—applications close 48 hours before the event.
  • Players must stream their participation in the event.
  • Streamers must identify their accounts with their name.
  • Players must connect their streaming account to Chess.com.
