Chess Played Quick - BlitzChamps Hyper Bullet Arena
Chess Played Quick (CPQ), Chess.com's series of events where top chess streamers complete bounties for prizes, is back for another edition!
Chess Played Quick—BlitzChamps Hyper Bullet Arena will take place on May 20 at 1:30 p.m. ET / 19:30 CET / 11:00 p.m. IST. Streamers will participate in a 90-minute hyper bullet arena in the Community Club. The event's prize fund is 2,000 Twitch/Kick subs (or $5 YouTube memberships).
Format
For this edition, players will join a 90-minute hyperbullet (30-second time control) arena taking place in the Community Club and stream their participation. The arena link will be sent to participants a few days before the event. The arena will be score-based and unrated. Players will be required to participate on their main accounts.
The only bounty for this edition is the Touchdown. To complete touchdowns, participants must bring their kings to the opposite side of the chessboard (eighth rank if they are White, first rank if they are Black)—winning the game isn't mandatory.
The event's leaderboard is based on the amount of points scored in the arena, with 3 points being added for each touchdown a participant scores.
Prizes
There are 2,000 Twitch/Kick subs (or $5 YouTube memberships) at stake this month in the overall prize fund. The prize fund will be divided among participants based on the amount of points scored in the arena (touchdowns included).
