Hello everybody!

I am Alberto Barp, a 23-year-old International Master (IM) from Italy.

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Trento.

I love teaching chess and sharing my passion with others, as I am very invested in everything I do!

I have played in the top stage of the Italian Chess Championship three times (2018, 2019, 2021).

I also compete in the top Italian Chess League since 2016 and I am currently playing for Modena Worldtradinglab. We archived 3rd place in 2019 and 2nd place in 2021 and 2022, while also partecipating in the European Club Cup in 2019.

I am very prepared on openings and I am up-to-date on the latest theory updates; I enjoy teaching the finesses behind every strategic decision in the middlegame and I love analysing every position in depth, together with my students, trying to teach them as many patterns as possible.

I am available to teach in Italian and in English.
